KIA 2007 and 2008
In the spring of 2007 KIA went on a 7 week tour of Sweden. Their aim was to increase the number of test-drives compared to previous years and to strengthen the KIA trademark. An Expomobil 40 was taken to town squares and shopping centres throughout Sweden and members of the public were offered the chance to test drive the different models, which were parked around the trailer. The road show was greatly appreciated by both retailers and customers and the goal of 75 test drives per day was easily exceeded!
The success of the 2007 tour meant that even more KIA retailers wanted the trailer to come to their facilities when it was time to hit the road again in 2008 – this time with an Expomobil 60 – and the trip was extended from 7 to 10 weeks. Since KIA was one of the main sponsors, the European Football Championship was an obvious choice of theme for the tour. All those who took the opportunity to test drive a KIA car were also given the chance to win tickets to championship matches.
